Our Visit to Hutt Library

On Wednesday we visited the Hutt Library.  We went on the bus with Mrs Manabe's class. 

We first met Jill and Jacky the librarians who talked to us about the library.  We learned it is called the War Memorial Library and we also talked about how the library was the same and different to out school library. 

We had a scavenger hunt around the library and collected pictures of characters and letters. 

 Jacky and Jill read us some stories as well.

 We walked downstairs to see the ANZAC paintings that show sacrifice and hope which our ancestors fought for.  We  also had a story about the war called ANZAC Ted.

Before coming back to school we had morning tea and a little play in the park.
